Working with Maurice was a great experience. With the book Another Breed, Love is Thicker Than Blood, I gave him my vision of a scene in the book, where the car was riddled with bullet holes, but he created almost a trailer of the book with just the cover. He captured the emotion of the characters reality with bloody hands, which reflected the responsibility of his actions. Also representing the city with the Philadelphia rescue in the photo. The cover spoke volumes and inspired me to start on the next book ASAP.
The following book Wasted, Tomorrow's Not Promised, the cover was to reflect a dream the character has, and like any dream sometimes the visions are confusing and not clear. Like in the front of the book the character is sleeping, carved into the wall inside the cabin it says, what is to a lion whether or not the wolf dresses in sheep clothing. But outside the window four wolves approach the cabin. The character lies in bed with a gun in his hand, a bag of money on the floor and a Bible within reach on a table. On the flip side you can actually see that the wolves approaching are actually people. That shows that some of the people we keep around us don't have our best interest at heart. Just as the front reflected the choices within the characters grasp, Bible or weapon. He chose the gun. Maurice has vision and the creativity that can help elevate your manuscript. I'm looking forward to working with him with my new installment, and if you were smart, you would do it as well.
